1.1 Introduction

Our Prayer Pages are subdevided into different departments. Intercessory prayer is often needed for the Body of Christ. We need to accomodate intercessors who often stand in the gap for nations, people. ministries including men and women of God, in full and part time ministry.

We shall also, try to bring, stand in the gap for nations their prayer requests as our Lord brings them to mind. This is where we try to accommodate, facilitate a space for : –

2 Prayer for Souls©®

prayerpages

2.1 Pray for the Unsaved

When praying together as a group; it is advisable for us to be quiet for a while. We need to ask & hear from the Lord, if there is anything which could hinder our prayers (prayer life). Should there be anything found not right in our walk we need to cofess and make it right with our Heavenly Father. This leads to the confessing of our sin (repentance).

Whether there is any bitterness, criticism, offences or unforgiveness found in our hearts; we need to urgently confess them before the Lord. When with repentant heart; we return to our Lord confessing all our iniquity, sin and shortcomings He will answer. We need to be a clean, pure and holy vessel; before God and man. Then the Lord would move, touching our hearts. While the Holy Spirit can flow through our lives, He will change the hearts of the sinner.

Scripture

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
(Psa 139:23-24 KJV)

Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
(Jas 5:13-20 KJV)

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power] (Jas 5:16 AMPC)

And likewise the Spirit also joins in to help our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray as we ought, but the Spirit Himself intercedes on our behalf with groanings that cannot be uttered. But the One searching the hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because He petitions on behalf of the saints according to God.
(Rom 8:26-27 LITV)

The Amplified Classic Version speaks of the heartfelt, persistent prayer of the righteous which avails much. This is an urgent, serious cry coming from a righteous heart. Remember through Christ Jesus, we are made and have become the Righteousness of God in Him [Christ Jesus]; (see 2 Cor 5:17-21).

As Righteous Believers we are aware that our prayers through Christ Jesus have tremendous power. These prayers effectively, give  boldness to enter His Presence. Through making our requests known to Him, He hears us. When we dilligently prepare our hearts, we ask the Lord to make us sensitive to the leading of His Holy Spirit. We need to be sure that we have prepared our hearts, to hear from our Lord, as to what He would have us pray for at the set time.

We are to have a pure and upright heart attitude for us to be able to pray in the Spirit. After praying in tongues, we need to be still and hear. For it is written be still and know I Am God!

2.2 Practical Hints

Scripture

_ _ _but God commends His love to us in this, that we being yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being justified now by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through Him. For if while being enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by His life; and not only so, but also glorying in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we now received the reconciliation.
(Rom 5:8-11 LITV)

My brothers count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the proving of your faith works patience. But let patience have its perfective work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who gives to all freely and with no reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, doubting nothing. For the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, being driven by wind and being tossed; for do not let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-souled man, not dependable in all his ways. But let the lowly brother rejoice in his lifting up; and the rich one rejoice in his humiliation, because he will pass away like the flower of the grass.
(Jas 1:2-10 LITV)

Do not go astray, my beloved brothers, every act of good giving and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no change or shadow of turning. Having purposed, He brought us forth by the Word of truth, for us to be a certain firstfruit of His creatures.
(Jas 1:16-18 LITV)

Deliverance & Discerning of spirits

Ask the Lord to show His heart for the lost of this world. Often we need to act, asking our Lord for the gifts of the discerning of spirits, to find out who and/or what is the strong man over their lives, nations, families, district or territory. The Lord talks about these strongholds, strong men and territorial spirits which may have taken control of their lives.

  • Ask the Lord for the person we are interceding for.
  • Ask the Lord also for His Godly Wisdom
  • Pray with insight
  • Ask the Lord to help you discern the strong man keeping them bound
  • To reveal what is in their hearts

Whether deliverance is necessary? So they can be set free. Remember our Lord came to set the captives free, heal the sick. Change lives and to reconcile us back to God, through our acceptance of His Gracious Gift of Salvation. No one can come to the Father except through their/our acceptance of Jesus Christ as our Lord, Master and Saviour!

  • Spirit of bondage
  • A perverse spirit
  • Lying spirit
  • Rejection
  • Pride
  • Familiar spirits. (etc)

Break the plans and strategies of our enemy (Satan); may have against the souls of the prospective believers, men and women. Thereafter we need to take everyone of their thoughts captive, bringing them in obedience to Christ Jesus our Lord. We know the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds, casting down any high imaginations exalting themselves against God and taking every thought captive bringing them into obedience to Jesus Christ; our Lord! (See 2 Cor 10:3-5).

Remember our Lord gave us the keys of His Kingdom (the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven). Through him placing these keys in our hand; we are then enabled to bind these things on Earth and in Heaven. Also what we loose on earth is already loosed in Heaven. When we stand in this authority which our Lord gives us, then the gates of hell (hades) shall not be able to prevail against us (Mt 16:17-20).

He also gives us authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will in any way harm us. Needless though, let us not rejoice over the fact that these spirits are subject to us. Rather let us rejoice that our names are recorded in heaven. Also that we have our names recorded in the Lamb’s Book of Life. We are to pray for the darkness and the scales  to be removed from their eyes.

We need also; to pray for the Light of Christ to shine upon their hearts and lives. Where the Life and Light of Christ is allowed to shine in their lives; darkness and death has to flee! The Lord sets before us life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore let us “Choose Life and Live!” This is precisely the reason for which Christ Jesus died on the cross and rose again. He is our Sacrificial Lamb, slain before the Foundation of this world! He died and arose from the grave so we could live!

2.3 Praying for Answers

Remember; we are to ask the Lord, to show His Heart for the lost! Man’s heart is constantly evil from birth. Nevertheless; through our intercessory prayer and constant intercession we are able to see their changed lives. We may at times come across some of these following questions. Note, they are not uncommon questions for the seeking soul: –

Questions

  1. In whom can and do I place my trust?
  2. What is the reason for my life (my existence)?
  3. When shall I be truly free?
  4. Why do I reject God?
  5. Would God reject me?
  6. How am I to handle my problems?
  7. Where will I go to after this life (after my death)?

Scripture

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
(Mat 5:6 TLV) https://www.esword.com

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Moreover, He has set eternity in their heart—yet without the possibility that humankind can ever discover the work that God has done from the beginning to the end.
(Ecc 3:11 TLV) https://www.esword.com

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end. I know that there is nothing better for them than to be glad and to get and do good as long as they live; And also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor—it is the gift of God. I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor anything taken from it. And God does it so that men will [reverently] fear Him [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is]. (See Ecc 3:11-15 AMPC). https://www.biblegateway.com

Jesus therefore said to them, “When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and I do nothing of myself, but as my Father taught me, I say these things. He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn’t left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him.” As he spoke these things, many believed in him. Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, “If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples. You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” They answered him, “We are Abraham’s offspring, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How do you say, ‘You will be made free’?” Jesus answered them, “Most certainly I tell you, everyone who commits sin is the bondservant of sin. A bondservant doesn’t live in the house forever. A son remains forever. If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed.
(Joh 8:28-36 WEB) esword

Then Jesus again said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you that I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and plunderers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in, and will go out, and will find pasture. The thief does not come except that he may steal, and kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and may have it abundantly. I am the Good Shepherd! The Good Shepherd lays down His life on behalf of the sheep. But the hireling, not even being a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and forsakes the sheep and flees. And the wolf seizes them, and scatters the sheep. But the hireling flees because he is a hireling, and there is not a care to him concerning the sheep. I am the Good Shepherd, and I know those that are Mine, and I am known by the ones that are Mine. Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
(Joh 10:7-15 LITV) esword

29 Is not My word like fire [that consumes all that cannot endure the test]? says the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks in pieces the rock [of most stubborn resistance]? (Jer 23:29 AMPC) Bible Gateway

13 Besides, to which of the angels has He ever said, Sit at My right hand [associated with Me in My royal dignity] till I make your enemies a stool for your feet?14 Are not the angels all ministering spirits (servants) sent out in the service [of God for the assistance] of those who are to inherit salvation? (Heb 1:13-14 AMPC) Bible Gateway

Praise Yahweh, you angels of his, who are mighty in strength, who fulfill his word, obeying the voice of his word. Praise Yahweh, all you armies of his, you servants of his, who do his pleasure. Praise Yahweh, all you works of his, in all places of his dominion. Praise Yahweh, my soul! (Psa 103:20-22 WEB) esword

Repent therefore of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. For I see that you are in the poison of bitterness and in the bondage of iniquity. Simon answered, “Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me.” They therefore, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the Good News to many villages of the Samaritans. But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert.” He arose and went; and behold, there was a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship. He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah. The Spirit said to Philip, “Go near, and join yourself to this chariot.” Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” He said, “How can I, unless someone explains it to me?” He begged Philip to come up and sit with him. Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, “He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn’t open his mouth. In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth.” The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?” Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus. As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?” He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn’t see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.
(Act 8:22-40 WEB) esword

So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the [true] people of God;10 For he who has once entered [God’s] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors [f]peculiarly His own.11 Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the [g]breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing andjudging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.13 And not a creature exists that is concealed from His sight, but all things are open and exposed, naked and defenseless to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to do.14 Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].15 For we do not have a High Priest Who is unable to understand andsympathize and have a shared feeling with our weaknesses andinfirmities and liability to the assaults of temptation, but One Who has been tempted in every respect as we are, yet without sinning. A Call to Repentance

Image result for repentance cry images
Readily Repent

This was not so when our Lord originally formed and created us,  in His image. we were created to be His guardians upon this Earth.  He gave us everything we would need, to rule and reign over His Creation, here on Earth. Recall when God created everything it had been good. There was no fault among us until we sold out to sin.

Our former parents way back even until to Adam and Eve fell, thererby we all inherited this fallen nature. We are unable to deliver ourselves from sin’s vice grip. For there is an enemy who desires to destroy us. He has been a liar and questions whether God is True. Our Lord clearly tells us who this enemy is.

For this enemy of ours will always come to kill steal and destroy our lives.  He is a thief, the dragon and serpent. He misleads our former parents, even in the beginning he question whether God is True. Let this be known, Scripture clearly tells us that Christ Jesus is Lord over all. He has come to give us Life, and Life in abundance. He is The Way, the Truth, the Life.

We are unable to come to our Heavenly Father on our own except He draw us. We need the only Mediator to intervene on our behalf. This Mediator is Christ Jesus our Lord. He clearly tells us nobody is able to come to the Father except through Him! He alone is able to pay the price on our behalf! He is our Sacrificial Lamb! For this reason we are to repent before God! Unless we repent of all our sin, we are unable to enter into His Presence!

Pray the Lord, send His angels out under His Authority, to minister to the lost. They would minister as God’s messengers; preparing the hearts of the people. Drawing them back to God! Creating in them repentant hearts and minds which lead to their eventual Salvation. Salvation is the free gift from God, for which Christ Jesus paid the full price.

These angels are sent on assignment to prepare the hearts of those whom dilligrntly seek the Lord. It is written whosoever dilligently seeks the Lord, with all their being, spirit, soul, body shall never be put to shame. But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you shall find him, when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deu 4:29 WEB)

One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. (Psa 27:4 RV).

3.4 Pray:

  • Labourers.  For the Lord of the Harvest to call out the trainable, mouldable volunteers to come to these cities to share the Gospel.  This summer, new concepts will be introduced to the volunteers, who in turn, will go out on the streets and share the Gospel with Arabs.
  • Follow-up.  A new follow-up stream was launched last summer. Right now, apps are being programmed and the system is being modified to be more effective.  Pray that the apps will be added to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store with little challenge.  Pray for the developer to have wisdom as the system is developed further.  Pray for the volunteers to embrace the new technology.
  • Reception of a New Concept.   We want to move into ‘multiplication’ mode where the Gospel flows into and through families to their extended families and tribes.  This will require a different approach by the volunteers as well as a different level of receptivity by the hearers.  Pray for God to make volunteers super sensitive to identifying Persons of Peace who will be conduits of the Gospel.  Pray now for God to prepare the ‘soil’ to be receptive and productive.
  • Ask the Heavenly Father for fruit that lasts, that is, individuals who will receive the Gospel and share Christ with their families and for multiplying groups of followers to form.
  • Pray for the Father to prepare the hearts (and bodies) of the leaders who will beforehand have eight very challenging weeks of preparation and work.
