One Talent_ _ _
For the kingdom of heaven is like a man leaving the country, who called his own servants and delivered to them his property. Now to one he gave five talents, and to another two, and to another one; he gave to each one according to his own ability, and immediately left the country. Then the one who had received five talents went and traded with them, and made an additional five talents. In the same way also, the one who had received two talents also gained two others. But the one who had received the single talent went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord’s money. Now after a long time, the lord of those servants came to take account with them. Then the one who had received five talents came to him and brought an additional five talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered five talents to me; see, I have gained five other talents besides them.’ And his lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! Because you were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ And the one who had received two talents also came to him and said, ‘Lord, you delivered to me two talents; see, I have gained two other talents besides them.’ His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! Because you were faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ Then the one who had received the single talent also came to him and said, ‘Lord, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow, and gathering where you did not scatter. And because I was afraid, I went and hid your talent in the earth. Now look, you have your own.’ His lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant! You knew that I reap where I did not sow, and gather what I did not scatter. Because you knew this, you were duty-bound to take my talent to the money exchangers, so that when I came, I could have received my own with interest. Therefore, take the talent from him, and give it to the one who has ten talents. For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he shall have abundance; on the other hand, as for the one who does not have, even that which he has shall be taken from him. And cast the worthless servant into the outer darkness.’ There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

THE ONE-TALENTED MAN
“He also that had received the one talent came.” Mat_25:24.
THE FIVE-TALENTED men, are the geniuses of the world, successful in everything they touch. The two-talented men, on the one hand, are not exposed to the temptations of genius, but are not quite at the minimum. But why did the man with the one talent make such ill use of his gift? Surely, this is a true touch of life! One-talented people can do so little, that they do nothing. They are crushed and enfeebled by a sense of their own insignificance and inferiority. Many start life with high and pure aims, but presently they find their opportunities so meagre, their influence so limited, their power so scanty, that after a few struggles they give up in despair.
But the world will never be saved and helped unless the one-talented people, who are the great majority, can be aroused to a sense of their responsibility. Five men can put the whole energy of their manhood behind their single talents, whilst the one man with five talents has only the driving power of one. It is probably a greater thing in God’s sight to use one talent faithfully than many. No one notices the man with his humble one talent. There is no outburst of praise or cheering. It is a greater test of the quality of the soul to go on doing one small thing well, than to be able to turn with brilliant versatility from one talent to another. The monotony of life presses hard on those who have only one string to their bow, one tune to play, one act to perform in the great factory where labour is carefully subdivided.
But the one thing that our Lord demands of each of us is to be faithful—faithful in a very little. He is watching each of us with great eagerness as we live our daily life, because He knows, as we cannot realise, how much our position in the other world depends on our fidelity in this. It is for our sake that He is so anxious that we should make good use of our one talent.
Have you only one talent? Are you doing anything with it? Remember it is the ounce-weight that may turn the scales where hundred-weights are balanced; it is the tiny tug that can move the great liner. Be thou faithful in thy very little, and thou shalt receive the “Well done” of thy Lord.
O Lord, at the end of every day, may we stand before Thee to hear Thy verdict, and when all the toil and labour of our life is ended, may we hear Thee say: “Well done, good and faithful servant! thou hast been faithful in a few things, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord” AMEN.

“For who has despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. These seven are the eyes of the LORD which run to and fro through the whole earth.” And I answered and said to him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on its left side?”
(Zec 4:10-11 AFV)
Every journey starts wit one small step. A babe first crawls before he or she walks. Even the longest journey starts with the first small steps. Whether planning or running with a vision; You still need to take a small step in the right direction. A vision first starts with recognizing the need> Then being able to meet the need accordingly. With one single little step, we may be able to answer and meet a specific need or problem. One small gentle step at a time. For instance we might have one small, little talent. One thing we are extremely good at doing. When well prepared, correctly used, it may even add a unique character to our personality. A genuine twist to our present lifestyle. A twist to our tale. A twist in our present reality.
’tis been said; “Where there is no vision the people perish,”Where there is no vision, the people perish; but happy is he who keeps the law. (Pro 29:18 AFV). For the first step to be taken, there needs to be vision. What are your vision and mission statements? What do we, do you, wish to accomplish, in this lifetime? What goals do we set for ourselves? Where do we wish to be in six months? A year, the next twelve months? Short term, mid term, long term? Where do we desire to be? Who are our role models? When we delight ourselves in the Lord, He shall give us the desires of our hearts. Which framework do we focus upon to be the most successful person we wish to be?
Lack of Knowledge
as also where there is a lack of knowledge they may likewise perish. My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being as a priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children. (Hos 4:6 AFV). We need to study to show ourselves approved for whatever task, we are about to tackle. Diligently study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of the truth; (2Ti 2:15 AFV). We need to train ourselves in the task we have been called to. Everyone of us has a unique path laid out for us to walk in.
Our Lord chose His twelve disciples, whom He personally trained as His disciples. He trained them to act as apostles. He personally trained them, to lead and take charge of His Mission. He prepared them to take charge and care for His little flock. He invested time, preparing and training them to fulfill His Great Commission. He called them His friends. For friends know one another. No longer do I call you servants, because the servant does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends because I have made known to you all the things that I have heard from My Father (Joh 15:15 AFV). Friends are known by one another and often share their hearts with each other
