Which Shepherd are u
The Lord is my Shepherd (Ps 23:1)

  Which Shepherd R.U.?

Good Question? Hi, how are you Feriilegrounders and other? Let’s put it another way! What kind of sheep are you? A sheep or wolf in sheep’s clothing? Our Lord clearly tells us; “I am the Good Shepherd! I am the Door! My sheep hear My voice! Another they shall not follow!”

26 But you do not believe and trust and rely on Me because you do not belong to My fold [you are no sheep of Mine].27 The sheep that are My own hear and are listening to My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never lose it or perish throughout the ages. [To all eternity they shall never by any means be destroyed.] And no one is able to snatch them out of My hand. (https://www.biblegateway.com Jn 10:26-28 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition) Jn 10:26-28(AMPC)Copyright © 1954, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1965, 1987 by The Lockman Foundation

Now let’s repeat this question again which or what type of shepherd are you? The Lord is calling for shepherds who have the Heart of God! He reminds us He shall give us shepherds after His Own Heart. As shepherds shepherding the Sheep of God we need to be of a pure heart! His sheep need real sustenance for them to remain fit, strong, and healthy!

The True Shepherd

Jesus (Yeshua) remains the True Shepherd! He leads us to green pastures. He tends for His Own! He also fends for us! He is our Shepherd and we are the sheep of His Pasture. We know His Voice, and another we shall not follow! He also uses His rod and staff, to train us in the way we should go.

David knew this when writing his psalms. In Ps 23 the 1st verse he writes; “The Lord is my Shepherd! I shall not want! He had a clear understanding of the shepherd’s heart. While he was watching his father’s flocks, he would worship the Lord his God. Little had he known he was being prepared for an even greater role. That stage he had no idea he would be Israel’s next king after  Saul.

At the appointed time, God saw David’s heart. He saw him no longer as a shepherd boy; rather in David our Lord found a man after His Own Heart. When others saw and thought him to be just another shepherd boy, God saw him as the king. Therefore He sent Samuel to anoint David as royalty amongst his brethren.

Little be known to him; when others saw a shepherd boy; God saw a king! To be able to reign and rule over Yisrael, David first lead his father’s flock. He fended and tended their sheep. Defending his father’s flock, he slew both the bear and the lion, with his own hand.

David said to Saul, “Your servant was keeping his father’s sheep; and when a lion or a bear came and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after him, and struck him, and rescued it out of his mouth. When he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and struck him, and killed him. Your servant struck both the lion and the bear. This uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them since he has defied the armies of the living God.” David said, “Yahweh who delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go! Yahweh will be with you.” (https://www.esword@net/1Sam17:32-37WEB1Sa 17:34-37 WEB)

Now it is recorded in Isaiah; we all strayed like sheep, turning our own way. We missed the mark, falling short of God’s Glory. All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way, and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers are silent, so he didn’t open his mouth. (https://www.esword@net Is 53:4-8 WEB Isa 53:6-7 WEB)

The Good Shepherd

John 10:11-18 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition (AMPC) 11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks and lays down His [own] life for the sheep. 12 But the hired servant (he who merely serves for wages) who is neither the shepherd nor the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away. And the wolf chases and snatches them and scatters [the flock]. 13 Now the hireling flees because he merely serves for wages and is not himself concerned about the sheep [cares nothing for them]. 14 I am the Good Shepherd, and I know and recognize My own, and My own know and recognize Me— 15 Even as [truly as] the Father knows Me and I also know the Father—and I am giving My [very own] life and laying it down on behalf of the sheep. (Source: John 10:11-18 AMPC – I am the Good Shepherd. The Good – Bible Gateway (https://www.biblegateway@com/Jn 10:11-18 AMPC).

Now as noted earlier Jesus (Yeshua Ha Mashiach) remains the only True, Good Shepherd caring, tending His sheep.  In scripture, man is compared to sheep. We are not sheep but are likened to sheep without a shepherd. Our Lord has compassion upon us because we tend to chaos, death and destruction. We may follow almost any new fashion trend, even though it has already been followed before.

Man always seeks someone to follow. Due to our fallen nature, we may easily become disorientated. At times we conform to external, group pressure.  This is why our Lord compares us to sheep without a shepherd.

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples,The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the labourers are few. Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out labourers into his harvest.” (Mat 9:36-38 WEB) Mt 9:35-38 (https://www.esword.net)

Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.
(Mar 6:34 WEB) (https://www.esword@com/Mark 6:34 Sheep with no shepherd)

Ever watched a group of people come together in disorganized chaos. Where there is no one to lead them, they easily become a rabble of hooligans. Where there is no vision the people perish. If there is no leader among them they each follow their own impulses. This is due to our fallen nature. We had fallen from our former estate, thereby opening a plethora of chaos, death and destruction!

For this reason, Yeshua (Jesus) our Shepherd risked His Life for us! He needed to make a way for us to become reconciled to Himself! Like David of old (a shadow of the Coming King) our Good Shepherd leads us into triumph. He defeated our foe when on the cross He overcame Satan, making an open display of him. Yeshua clearly defeated the enemy of our soul!

8 See to it that no one carries you off as spoil or makes you yourselves captive by his so-called philosophy and intellectualism and vain deceit (idle fancies and plain nonsense), following human tradition (men’s ideas of the material rather than the spiritual world), just crude notions following the rudimentary and elemental teachings of the universe and disregarding [the teachings of] Christ (the Messiah). 9 For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]. 10 And you [f]are in Him, made full and having come to the fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power]. 11 In Him also you were circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands but in a [spiritual] circumcision [performed by] Christ by stripping off the body of the flesh (the whole corrupt, carnal nature with its passions and lusts). 12 [Thus [g]you were circumcised when] you were buried with Him in [your] baptism, in which you were also raised with Him [[h]to a new life] through [your] faith in the working of God [[i]as displayed] when He raised Him up from the dead. 13 And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God] brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us all our transgressions, 14 Having cancelled and blotted out and wiped away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to us). This [note with its regulations, decrees, and demands] He set aside and cleared [j]completely out of our way by nailing it to [His] cross. 15 [God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]. (https://www.biblegateway.com/Col 2:8-17 AMPC)

Sinners Prayer

Now if you have read this post, and do not have a personal relationship with the Good Shepherd. You have read what the Good Shepherd says and wish to know more! Please pray this following  prayer: –

Prayer: –

Father, I acknowledge, confess I have not lived my life according to Your Precepts. This lifestyle is wrong in Your eyes! Therefore I repent from my present and previous lifestyle which I have lived! In Jesus Mighty, all-encompassing; Powerful Name; I break with my former life!

I turn my back upon the enemy of my soul. In Jesus Name I receive my deliverance from the bondages, strongholds, contracts, curses of the enemy, in my family bloodline! Whether confessed, spoken, uttered, over my life and immediate family.  In Jesus Christ’s Name, I break with all demonic dedications, contracts, false altars, false gods. idols, demonic entities. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I break with you!

I further confess with my mouth Jesus Christ is Lord,  and believe in my heart; God raised Him from the dead; therefore I am saved. I also overcome the enemy through the Blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony. Through my acceptance of Christ Jesus as my, Personal Lord, Master and Saviour I am Saved!

Satan in Jesus Name I refuse to have any part with you and your unrighteous deeds of darkness. In Jesus Name I choose Life, not Death! At the same time in Jesus Mighty Name, I choose Blessing not cursing. It is also written because I called on the Name of Jesus Christ for my Deliverance and my Salvation, I shall not be disappointed! (Rom 10:8-14)

It is further written God is not a man that He would lie, neither a son of man that He need repent! (Num 23:19; Titus1:2; Heb 6:18). Father in Jesus Name me and my house like Joshua of old: –

have decided this day; as long as it is called today;  to break with our idols false gods and strongholds of the enemy. We choose to serve You all the days of our life (Josh 24:14-16)

God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good? (Num 23:19 ; Titus 1:2; Heb 6:18 WEB).
