Times & Seasons
Times and Seasons
21 He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have to understand!22 He reveals the deep and secret things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him!23 I thank You and praise You, O God of my fathers, Who has given me wisdom and might and has made known to me now what we desired of You, for You have made known to us the solution to the king’s problem.
Are we Aware
Are we aware of the times and seasons we’re living in? For in the day when our Lord walked the earth, He challenged the priests and the religious leaders of His day. They were able to tell whether it would be Summer or Winter; Autumn or Spring through the signs in the sky.
They knew whether it was sunrise (start of the day), late morning, midday, late afternoon, early evening or late night, through the signs during the day. In fact they probably were most expert at it. The Lord complimented them for this, yet they were still missing the most important sign of their time.
Yes they missed the whole season of the Lord’s Anointed Whom was living, walking and working with them. Scripture reminds us in John chapter one verses 12-14: –
10 He came into the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him [did not know Him].11 He came to that which belonged to Him [to His own—His domain, creation, things, world], and they who were His own did not receive Him and did not welcome Him.12 But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—13 Who owe their birth neither to [c]bloods nor to the will of the flesh [that of physical impulse] nor to the will of man [that of a natural father], but to God. [They are born of God!]14 And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; and we [actually] saw His glory (His honor, His majesty), such glory as an only begotten son receives from his father, full of grace (favor, loving-kindness) and truth. (see Jn 1:10-14 AMPC)
The Lord always let His servants the prophets in onto His plans. They are always in the know. We see this with some of David’s men who understood, the times they were living in. Since before our fall; the Lord had been working on His solution for our deliverance & Salvation, from sin’s bondage. He revealed His plans top Abraham our father of faith, before Isaac’s birth.
When Isaac was born in Abraham’s old age; he was God’s answer to the prayer of Abraham and Sarah. That which was impossible for us, He is able to do.Further in history we see the Lord unveil His plans to all His prophets, men and women of God. Of this the writer of Hebrews bears testimony saying; “In times past God has spoken to us, and our fathers, in various ways. Yet lately He speaks to us through His one and only Son _ _ _.”
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spoke in times past unto the fathers by the prophets,2 hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed Heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds,3 who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,4 being made so much better than the angels, as He hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. (Heb 1:1-4 KJV21st century)
Are We Listening
Are we listening to the Lord, reading the times and seasons they are been revealed and opened to our understanding? Or are we like the world, the others whom blindly live, walk and work their life. Are we not aware of these prophetic times we’re living in? It is time we awake, watch and be ready for the Time of the Lord is fast drawing near.
We are reminded when we see all these things, know our redemption is daily drawing near! We hear of wars and rumors of wars. Nation rising against nation! Earthquakes in various places are on the increase! The wicked becoming more wicked! The filthy becoming more filthy! We see the repeat of the days of Noah! Violent being more violent! The Love of many are become cold! Having a form of Godliness yet denying the power thereof!
Are we asleep in the Light? Hear the Lord cry; “Awake Sleeper! Awake!” ” The evening is drawing to a close! The night is far spent! Time is of the essence! Time of restoration, revival and reformation is here! When we call upon the Lord He shall hear our prayer! Let us seek Him when He still may be found!Seek Him while it still is day! The night comes when no-one remains awake!
In these days let us not fail Israel, nor her people! Neither let us deny the Lord our God, Who came to His own, although they did not receive Him. Yet He still remained Faithful, showing His Love toward them and the Lost of the world. Remember we who stand are to be careful not to fall along the wayside but to remain, pure and holy before the Lord our God; Whom is Himself Pure and Holy! ! !
11 Now these things befell them by way of a figure [as an example and warning to us]; they were written to admonish and fit us for right action by good instruction, we in whose days the ages have reached their climax (their consummation and concluding period).12 Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands [who feels sure that he has a steadfast mind and is standing firm], take heed lest he fall [into sin].13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. ( See 1 Cor 10:10-14 AMPC).
