Jacob & Sons

Hi Fertiilegrounders;

As I am presently working on my second book entitled: “Possess the Land” (subtitle Promised land): I thought it wise to place a portion on my blog today; so you would have a taste of what is coming up shortly. Presently I am almost 50% on the way to complete it D.V. before  year end.

Currently we need much prayer, intercession and necessary funding, to complete it. All  Godly assistance, partnership, provision would be greatly appreciated.  For some time we have not been able to show our presence on the internet, except as we had opportunity. Most of the time we need to trust our Lord, for His Divine, Supernatural intervention.

For close on six to eight months and present we’ve been without an fixed income. End of September last year I had been retrenched and my wife’s contract at Tuks (i.e. University of Pretoria). Yet our Lord remains faithful. Both our sons are still studying. Our eldest fourth year Mechanical Engineering. Our youngest second year Teaching. Thus far our Lord has gracefully & graciously provided.

Yet we still need to trust our Lord for His intervention and His Provision. Most of our lines are not working. Yet God remains faithful. Enough of this now. You are welcome to partner with us in whichever way you find possible.

Together In His Harvest

Jacob & Sons (Jacob’s Testimony)

Jacob had been fearful for his life! Being aware that no one, could see the Lord face-to-face and live. After the Lord met Jacob, at Jabbok’s Wrestling League, He blesses and changes his [Jacob’s] name to Israel. The Lord spared his life! At daybreak, Jacob had a clearer understanding. He realised the Greatness, of God’s Mercy, toward him. Therefore, he changed Jabbok’s name to Penuel, because he encountered God face to face!

Israel experienced His Great Grace, Love and Mercy. He would never be the same again! He discovered first-hand knowledge of God’s Goodness in the land of the living. He would testify about his Godly Encounter, the rest of his life. Yes! He would daily tell of his narrow escape, from God’s wrath and speak of God’s Mercy. He would regularly remind his children of God’s Covenant Blessing; recalling every one of God’s prophetic promises, given them.

The Lord established a testimony through Jacob. He leaves a legacy for his descendants traced back to Abraham, our father of faith. This legacy even rings true, for we whom believe on the Lord today. ‘Tis written the people who know their God (in these days) shall do exploits (see Dan 11:32b). We are reminded of our Lord’s Words, when He walked upon the Earth. He said we would do the same works as He has done, yea and even greater than these shall we do, because He went to His Father (see Jn 14:12). Remember it is not past; it is even now taking place, for the glory latter house (temple) shall be greater than the former (see Hag 2:4-9). We all as living stones make up this latter house.

Jesus (Yeshua Ha Massiach) is our Sure Foundation, our Chief Cornerstone; our Good Shepherd Whom knows His sheep! Yes! He is our Chief High Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Heb 7:14-22; Ps 110:1-4; Gen 14:18-20). Surely, we are aware of this very fact that Jesus (Yeshua) has become Surety of a Better Covenant. He has an unchangeable Priesthood. He is the only Mediator between God and man.

He was offered once (and for all); bearing the sins of many. We who eagerly await His return the second time, not been burdened with sin. Rather bring us to full Salvation, while we expectantly wait for Him. He longs to fellowship with us. He desires that none should perish, but for all to come to repentance. For this reason, He is the Lamb of God who takes away all our sin. He is the Sacrificial Lamb of God, slain before the foundation of the world.

Jacob had been aware of these things. Remember the Lord, is the Promise for the salvation of the nations, the peoples of this world who would call upon His Name. The Lord promised Abraham, Isaac and Jacob that through their Seed all the families, nations and people of the Earth would, (shall) be blessed.

Tracing back to the beginning of all things, the beginning of all time, before our former parents messed up, how the Seed of the woman would crush the seed of the serpent. These all speak of Yeshua Who, became sin for us. He delivers us from the fowler’s snare. He is our Righteousness. In Christ Jesus we live, and move, and have our being.  He is the Promised Messiah, God with us, revealed in and through us!

Through all these things, the promises of God are part of Jacob’s testimony. They testify about God’s Goodness in the land of the living. All these patriarchs, men and women of God left a legacy, to the Glory of His Name! These blessings are passed on to all of us whom believe on His Name! The blessing of God, makes one rich and adds no sorrow with it (see Pr 10:22).

_ _ _5We will [shout in; rejoice] triumph at your salvation and victory, and in the Name of our God we will set up our banners. May the Lord fulfil all your petitions! 6Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His Holy Heaven with the saving strength of His Right Hand _ _ _.(See Ps 20:1-7AMPC/NKJ).

3You have shown Your people hard things; You have made us drink the wine of confusion. 4You have given a banner to those who fear You, That it may be displayed because of the Truth. Selah! 5That Your beloved may be delivered. Save with Your Right Hand, and hear me. 6God has spoken in His Holiness; “I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem and measure out the Valley of Succoth. 7Gilead is Mine, and Manasseh is Mine; Ephraim also is the helmet for my head; Judah is My lawgiver. 8Moab is My washpot; Over Edom I will cast My shoe; Philistia, shout in triumph because of Me. 9Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom? 10Is it not You, O God, who cast us off? And You, O God, who did not go out with our armies? 11Give us help from trouble, For vain is the help of man. 12Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.” (Ps 60:3-12NKJ).

Now when Jacob’s company arrived at Succoth, they built their house, shelters for their livestock and an altar to the Lord! [He called it El Elohe Israel! God, the God of Israel]. This plot of land he bought from Hamor. Here Jacob (Israel) put up the banner in memorial of his Lord and his God! While he built his home, and dwelt peaceably in the neighborhood.

Now his only daughter (Dinah) went sightseeing. She wanted to meet some of the daughters of the land. Shechem had a liking for Dinah. Unfortunately, he lusted after her. He forced, defiling and violating her virginity.  (He raped Dinah against her will). After hearing about Schechem’s defilement of Dinah, Levi and Simeon took it upon themselves to avenge him for messing with their sister.

After some time, the Lord instructed Israel (Jacob) to return to Bethel. This is where the Lord, first appeared to him. At this site, Jacob made a commitment to follow the God of his fathers. It is also, where he dreamt of the heavenly ladder. The Lord regularly kept charge and watched over him. Now He needed to meet Jacob’s (Israel’s) house face to face.

During this time, Jacob prepared his whole house, to face the Lord. They needed to destroy all their idols, false gods and anything, which would compromise their relationship with their Lord. They needed to cleanse, dedicate and purify themselves before they could meet with God.

Afterward Rachel, gave birth to Ben Oni (son of my sorrow) having hard labour passed on. Yet Jacob changed his name to Benjamin (son of the right hand), for at the time of his birth Israel would look to his future hope. Thus through this prophetic action, he looked to the time of Messiah’s birth. He saw the suffering Messiah hanging on the tree, becoming sin’s sacrifice!

He understood God’s promised, prophetic word. He gained knowledge and insight concerning how the nations of the world; would be blessed through his Seed. Even as the Lord revealed His Covenant to Abraham and Isaac, and the Patriarchs before him.

Today when we diligently, honestly and urgently seek His Face He reveals Himself to us. We’re reminded to first seek God’s Kingdom and His Righteousness, and then all these things shall be added unto us. He promised how the peoples of the world; will be blessed, through their Seed! In all these things, our Lord remains Faithful, Gracious, Holy, Loving, Righteous and True!
