Behold, I send My messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me. And the Lord [the Messiah], Whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple; the Messenger or Angel of the covenant, Whom you desire, behold, He shall come, says the Lord of hosts.2 But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap;3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and He will purify the priests, the sons of Levi, and refine them like gold and silver, that they may offer to the Lord offerings in righteousness.(Mal 3:1-3 Amp).
2 Speak tenderly to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry to her that her time of service and her warfare are ended, that [her punishment is accepted and] her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received [punishment] from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.3 A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!4 Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.(Is 40:2-4 Amp)
6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city and the people not be alarmed and afraid? Shall misfortune or evil occur [as punishment] and the Lord has not caused it?7 Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.8 The lion has roared; who will not fear? The Lord God has spoken; who can but prophesy?(Amos 3:6-8 Amp).
Spend Time in His Presence
Ev’rytime the Lord; gives us a vision of which lies ahead in our lives, He starts preparing our hearts. Surely He will not do anything, without first letting His servants; the prophets know of His plans (see Amos3:7). We find these examples throughout Scripture. Yet for us to hear from Father, we need to spend time in His Presence. Through our spending time with our Lord, He shall direct our steps. It is written “the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.(See Ps 37:23-24 NKJ).
Daily we need to seek the Lord’s face, in whatever we do. We’re encouraged to acknowledge the Lord; in all our ways for He shall direct our plans. We also need to guard our heart above ev’rything else which needs to be guarded, for out of our heart flow the issues of life. We need to count the cost. Consider all things in line with God’s Word. We need to hear clearly from Him, because a single decision, determines the out come of our destiny. The Lord knows the plans/thoughts He has for us; Plans/thoughts to prosper us, give us a future and success.
We need to prepare our hearts as well, when seeking the Lord’s leading, direction for our lives. When we seek the Lord; with all our heart, we shall find Him. For many are the plans of man, yet that which God has in mind for us, that shall He do. The work which our Lord started in us, He shall bring to completion, even until the end of the age.
He also instructs us accordingly. He speaks with us, in our spirit. Therefore we need to open our spiritual eyes and ears, to hear that which the Spirit wishes to tell us. We need to be sensitive to His Spirit. We need to know His Heart, for the nations and their generations.
We need to ask the Lord, for His strategy. He has a strategy for every people. He knows the right keys, needed for the nations. We are to ask the Lord’s guidance, so we would be able to impact nations and generations for, God’s Kingdom’s Purposes.
Years ago, I would carry a whole bunch of keys. This bunch of keys, I always kept on my side. Naturally the keys were for different doors of our house and home. Even my car keys, would be on the same bunch. Keys are interesting articles. For ev’ry key would fit and open different doors. One would be for the main gate or our front door. Another would be needed for the back door. Still another would be for my car doors, the ignition, and to start the car. Should we perhaps not have the keys, on hand, then we are not able to go anywhere, or e’en not enter our house, our home.
When Peter confessed Christ Jesus, as the Messiah; the Lord had given him the keys of the Kingdom (Mt 16:13-18 NKJ). In Revelations we see our Lord holding the keys, of Hades and of Death (Rev 1:18 NKJ). Isaiah also speaks about the key of David (see Is 22:21-23 & Rev 3:7 NKJ). For ev’ry people group, nation or generation, there are certain keys, which the Lord gives us, to open the hearts of men. Therefore we need to urgently, earnestly seek the Lord’s Face, to hear the plan and vision He has for our lives.
11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.12 Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.13 Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.14 I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will release you from captivity and gather you from all the nations and all the places to which I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.(Jer 29:11-14 Amp)
