Remember The Lord_ _ _
Remember your Creator
12 Remember [earnestly] also your Creator [that you are not your own, but His property now] in the days of your youth, before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say [of physical pleasures], I have no enjoyment in them. (Eccles12:1 Amp).
6 [Remember your Creator earnestly now] before the silver cord [of life] is snapped apart, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern [and the whole circulatory system of the blood ceases to function];7 Then shall the dust [out of which God made man’s body] return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it.(Eccles12:6-7 Amp)
13 All has been heard; the end of the matter is: Fear God [revere and worship Him, knowing that He is] and keep His commandments, for this is the whole of man [the full, original purpose of his creation, the object of God’s providence, the root of character, the foundation of all happiness, the adjustment to all inharmonious circumstances and conditions under the sun] and the whole [duty] for every man.14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it is good or evil.(Eccles12:13-14 Amp)
We all sometime in our life think back o’er our lives. We wonder how our life interacted with our fellows. Ev’ryone of us have memories, both good and bad. These memories make us whom we are. They also build , make up , our character. All of us have a history, which at times, are defined by our fellow man. Our actions often come to pass, thru that which we have experienced in life.
This is why our Lord, reminds us to remember Him, to seek Him early, then we shall find Him. We need to earnestly remember our Creator in the days of our youth. It is He who gives us our reason to live. Although we have memories, whether good or bad, our Lord is able to turn the matter around.
Joseph experienced much hurt, pain and bad memories. He also had some good memories. When following some of the lives of our Biblical heroes & heroines of faith, which are recorded in Heb 11, had much testing and trials. Paul, James, Peter also wrote of tests and trials they had encountered. These are all watching us, to encourage us to keep on keeping on_ _ _
12 Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us,2 Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Just think of Him Who endured from sinners such grievous opposition and bitter hostility against Himself [reckon up and consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you may not grow weary or exhausted, losing heart and relaxing and fainting in your minds. (Heb 12:1-3 Amp).
We’re reminded in Scripture; our faith is oft times tested and tried , e’en as gold is tried in the furnace! Why? The answer in Scripture tells us: – Our faith is tried as gold is tried in fire, so that which is pure, shall remain. 7_ _ _ that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (See 1Pet 1:7 NKJ).
There is always, value added to our faith, which always works through God’s Love. Ev’ryone of these faithful witnesses, had their good & bad memories, experiences when they lived, walked on the earth. Yet their names are all recorded in faith’s wall of fame, despite their past, present and future. They have been recorded in the annals of time. They impacted nations, kings, princes and ev’ry one of these diverse cultures. We have heard or read about them o’er the years, through literature, and maybe found & recovered e’en their liturgical records etc.
Their testimonies, still stand for us, clearly encouraging us in our day. Their faith, their memories which they contended for remains. The Lord came through for them ev’rytime, when they called upon His Name. He fought for them, always causing them to triumph. E’en today ’tis True! The Lord’s promise is always secured in His Word! God cannot lie, for He is Holy, Pure and Righteous!
In the Beginning
In the Beginning
In the Beginning; was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (Jn 1:1-5). All things were made through Him! God is God! He is Creator of the Heavens and Earth (see Gen1:1-8). He calls those things that be not as tho’ they were (see Rom 4:16-25). God is Creator! (Gen 1:1-3) He spoke, called all things into existence, (i.e into being!)! Thru His Word; He created the worlds as we know it (Heb 11:3; Heb 1:2).
Creation; also has her memories, which are recorded throughout nature’s records. Ev’ry stone, ev’ry tree, ev’ry creature have their memories grafted, in their DNA. Thru much research, studies tests, professors, researchers, and scientists are able to determine the earth’s & universe’s age. All these ages, times & dispensations, have been determined, and planned, put in place by God.
God is not taken by surprise. He is all knowing. There is nothing hid from God. 20 Whenever our hearts in [tormenting] self-accusation make us feel guilty and condemn us. [For we are in God’s hands.] For He is above and greater than our consciences (our hearts), and He knows (perceives and understands) everything [nothing is hidden from Him].(1Jn3:20 Amp).
E’en Creation, speaks of her Creator. She is waiting for the revealing of God’s sons. 19 For [even the whole] creation (all nature) waits expectantly and longs earnestly for God’s sons to be made known [waits for the revealing, the disclosing of their sonship].(Rom 8:19 Amp). Through Christ Jesus we’re made, called heirs of God and joint heirs with the Son.
Through our acceptance of Him, as our Personal Lord and Saviour; we’re able to partake of Abraham’s blessings. Remember; before Abraham wast He Is. John Baptist, boldly declared, confessed Jesus Christ’s Preexistence. He is the Lamb which had been slain before the foundation of the world. This is why Christ Jesus, could boldly declare: – “Before Abraham was; I Am!” (See Jn 8:56-58).
