Sin _ _ _
The Fall of Man
(Gen 1:1- Gen 3:1; Jn1:1-14)
In the Beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.(Gen1:1)In the Beginning, God created the Heaven and the Earth (Gen 1:1)1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.2 He was present originally with God.3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.4 In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.
5 And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. (Jn1:1-5 Amp).
And God said let us make man in our image (Gen1:26a).
1 Man’s Innocence (Dispensation of Innocence)
(Scripture: – See Gen chs 1 to 3)
In the beginning God created all things. We know all which God created is beautiful and perfect. There is no imperfection, e’en Man, had been created without sin. God created us in His own image, without any sin. “So God created man in His own image, in the image of God; created He him, male and female created He them.” (See Gen 1:26-30 NKJ).
We may ask: – “How is it possible, to say ev’rything, had been perfectly made? How is it that man originally had no sin? Bearing in mind all the imperfection, iniquity, sinfulness, hatred and wickedness, found in our world today, How is it possible, that all was, perfectly well, in the beginning of time?”
Good question! Yes; a good question; in deed! From Scripture; we are able to see; ev’rything God created, was good (see Gen 1:4, Gen 1:10 ; Gen 1:12, 18, 21,25, 31). Ev’ry time God created, something, it has been good. God Himself is Good, Loving, Righteous and Forgiving. He tells us He knows His plans for us. Plans of success and a future (see Jer 29:11-14). It is His Goodness, which leads us to repentance. He has no pleasure in the death of the wicked. He is Loving, yet Holy, Righteous and sinless. Sin is not able to stand in His Presence.
Therefore we are of this understanding; What ever God created, formed or made, had been good in His eyes. We realize God’s Goodness. He is our Creator, Creator of the heavens and the earth. As any good craftsman, He would see if all is in order, perfect, without any fault. It had been good in His sight. In fact scripture tells us it had been very good. Yes even the creation, formation of man, had been perfect. There had been no flaw at all.
Even when we were formed, by and through His hands, we had been beautifully and wonderfully made. We had been originally formed through God’s hands. We were created in His image. Therefore we are able to understand, according to Scripture, God is without sin. Then God, Whom originally formed us in His image, created in us a pure heart. He originally created us as innocent persons . God does not make mistakes. He created us, out of His Love. His Love surpasses all understanding.
His Love; led Him to the Cross. He originally created man, formed us because He needed to share His Love with His Glorious Creation. He needed to share His Great Love with someone. His Goodness leads us to repentance. He needed to share His Love; with us. We who are His crown creation need to experience, the Greatness of God’s Grace, Love & Mercy . Although He is God, He Loved us right in the Beginning; before all time. God is Holy, Righteous, Merciful and Forgiving. His Mercy endures forever.
Our Lord instructed His Crown Creation; (Adam & Eve, man & woman.). His only instruction, which He gave, is for them not to partake of the tree of the knowledge of good & evil. All they needed to do, was to heed this instruction, for them to live, to rule and reign.Remember we are made in His Image. God formed man from the ground. He breathed into man’s nostrils, the breath of life. Then Man became a living being(Gen 2:7-10; Gen 2:15-20).
3 And He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, You know 4 Again He said to me, Prophesy to these bones and say to them, O you dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.5 Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath and spirit to enter you, and you shall live; (Ezek 37:1-4 Amp).
14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your mind and in your heart, so that you can do it.15 See, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil.16 [If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which] I command you today, to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, then you shall live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land into which you go to possess.17 But if your [mind and] heart turn away and you will not hear, but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them,18 I declare to you today that you shall surely perish, and you shall not live long in the land which you pass over the Jordan to enter and possess.19 I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live 20 And may love the Lord your God, obey His voice, and cling to Him. For He is your life and the length of your days, that you may dwell in the land which the Lord swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. (Deut 30:14-20 amp).
Our Lord breathed Life; into this man which, He formed from the Earth. The Lord tells us of man’s fall. We, whom the Lord, had originally formed. in His Image ; were about to face an expensive challenge; which would cost them an eternity. This challenge would, both test and try, their obedience, their innocence, their willingness, and whether they would choose life or death.
One wrong decision would cost them, their life. Should they decide to act in obedience, they would live. If they choose to be disobedient, we would lose our innocence, then we would surely die. Our Lord challenges us, with this instructions: – “See I set before you death or life; blessing or cursing; therefore choose life_ _ _ !” Often in Scripture, we find the Lord showing, speaking of His Plans, which He has for us.
- Plans for a future
- For success
- To Prosper us
- Salvation through His Grace & Forgiveness
- To give us Life
- To forgive us
- Restore us
- To rebuild
- Loving us, although we have sinned
One wrong decision on our side leads to destruction. For all have sinned and fallen short of God’s Glory. Sin causes a division between fallen man and God. Our good works, could not suffice. Our righteous deeds, are as filthy rags. We are unable to save ourselves from the snare of the Fowler. Nothing we could do would restore our fellowship, our relationship, with our Creator. God is Holy! Sin cannot live in His Presence. God is God! Yet God is also Loving, Gracious, Merciful and Forgiving.
We are God’s crown creation. We were formed in His image. He instructed us to rule and reign on this earth, over His creation. He originally gave us dominion. He instructed us, to tend and nurture, all of creation. We were made to rule and reign, through Him. Yet just when we thought everything was going great, we slipped up, were caught unawares thru Serpentine Le De Ceit’s Snare.
Serpentine Le De Ceit, became jealous, when he saw God’s crown creation, having sweet fellowship with their Creator. So he questioned the validity, of YHWH’s instructions given to Adam. He sowed doubt & unbelief in man’s heart. Thus through one man’s disobedience, death, destruction entered into this world; also then; through the obedience of One Man, life entered into the world.
Because of Serpentine Le De Ceit’s snare, which he set for Adam, we all are born with sin. We walk, in the ways of deceit, unless we surrender, our lives to Immanuel. The first Adam comes from the earth, where as the Last Adam (Christ Jesus) came from above. We are not able to deliver ourselves from Serpentine’s snare. We sold out to his deceit. This brought death and destruction to man and all his descendants.
2 What needs to be Done?
This One Man Christ Jesus, gave Himself on our behalf. There was none found worthy, to become man’s (our) substitute; except Christ Jesus, Immanuel God with us! Jesus was found worthy enough, to become our Sacrifice. There is no other sacrifice, for the remmission of our sins, except Christ Jesus! Through our fall, we gave the enemy charge of us, of our lives. When we surrender our lives to Christ Jesus, Messiah, our lives become changed. We become a new creation, through acceptance of Christ Jesus, as Lord, Master and Saviour.
God (YHWH) being all knowing, knows men’s hearts. He knew we would slip up, fill short of His Glory. Even today He knows that which is going on in our hearts. We are not able to fool God! Our Lord knows every one of our thoughts. We are not able to hide from God. Adam & Eve thought they would be able to hide from their Creator; when He came to talk with them. Before their fall, they had sweet fellowship, with their Lord.
When they were ensnared through the Deceiver, they could no longer fellowship with God, Whom is the Lover of our soul. We literally lost out, on YHWH’s plan for our lives. He created us to reign, walk in dominion. For us to reign, rule & tend the earth. Our Creator, has had this all in mind for us, since the beginning, the origin, of time.
Due to disobedience, we lost the glory, which we were originally clothed in. Before our fall, we were not ashamed. We had boldness to enter into our Lord’s Presence. Regularly we would walk and talk with our Lord. What beautiful fellowship? What beauty?God makes no mistake. He still remains creation’s:
- Master Architect.
- Master Artist
- Master Musician
- Master Craftsman
- Creator of the Heavens & the Earth
- Chief Sculptor
- Sure Foundation
- The Way; the Truth; the Life
- Saviour of the world
Yet we as man; slipped up badly. Often, we may follow our own understanding. We heed the deceiver, because of original disobedience, rebellion & sin. We may even be ensnared by the words of our mouth. This deceiver, always questions. the validity of God’s existence and that of His (God’s), promised Word. This liar, (since that is whom he is still called;); even ’til this day deceives mankind, leading us to destruction.
Our Lord was aware of our falling away. He made the necessary preparation. He made provision, for our falling away. Although mankind may make many ideas, plans or solutions, for us to live in harmony with one another. We try solving our problems, our own way. With ol’ “Blue Eyes;”we might sing; “I did it my way_ _ _!” Maybe we are singing, “Lord it is hard to be Humble!’ Then pride enters in! It is written; pride comes before a fall.
Satan Thrown Out of Heaven
This is the exact same sin, which caused Lucifer, to fall and rebel. Lucifer led praise in heaven,! He later got caught up in Pride! He had been cast out from heaven. Scripture tells us of satan, aka the dragon, and the serpent being cast down to the earth and one third of the heavenly hosts fell with him. This had been revealed to the Lord’s servants; the prophets. For the Lord; shall not do anything, without; first letting His servants; the prophets know, of His future plans.
3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Rev 12:3-10 NKJ)
Surrender to God, through Christ
We are also able to have this same relationship with our Lord; as the prophets of old had. In fact we are able, to have an even more intimate relationship, with our Creator; thru the receiving of Christ Jesus; as our Lord, Master, & Saviour. This only comes through surrendering our lives to Him. For this reason He came into the world, that through Him; we would be able to live.
We find recorded in scripture about God’s Goodness. His Love; for the sinner, nailed Him to the cross. Through out Scripture, we find the constant battle between Good and Evil. We know God is Good. His Goodness leads us, to our repentance, & Salvation. Satan always deceives mankind. He rebelled against God.
Scripture talks of the Lord, been right in the beginning of time. The eternity of eternities. For in the Beginning God created the heavens and the earth. He is the Word of God. Nothing came into being without Him. He spoke the Word, and it was so. He called those things which be not as though they were
- He Loved us first
- He chose us
- He created us, in His Image
- He forgives us our sin
- We call on Him; we shall be saved
- Sin entered in
- Satan deceives us
- Death enters in
- Jesus gives us Salvation
- He delivers us from the snare of satan
- He restores our soul
17 Good people stay [The highway of those with integrity turns] away from evil. By watching what they do [protecting their path], they protect [guard] their lives.18 Pride leads to destruction [comes before a disaster]; a proud attitude brings ruin [ pride comes before a fall].19 It is better to be humble and ·be with those who suffer [with the needy]than ·to share stolen property [dividing plunder/spoil] with the proud. (Proverbs 16:17-19 Expanded Bible (EXB))
17 The highway of the upright turns aside from evil; he who guards his way preserves his life.18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.19 Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the meek and poor than to divide the spoil with the proud. (Pr 16:17-19 Amp).
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”29 Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. 30 And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground—everything that has the breath of life in it—I give every green plant for food.” And it was so.31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day. (Gen 1:26-31 NIV ).
13 And [Isaiah] said, Hear then, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary and try the patience of men, but will you weary and try the patience of my God also?14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign: Behold, the young woman who is unmarried and a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Emmanuel [God with us].us.(Is 7:13-14)
12 Therefore, as sin came into the world through one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, [no one being able to stop it or to escape its power] because all men sinned.13 [To be sure] sin was in the world before ever the Law was given, but sin is not charged to men’s account where there is no law [to transgress].14 Yet death held sway from Adam to Moses [the Lawgiver], even over those who did not themselves transgress [a positive command] as Adam did. Adam was a type (prefigure) of the One Who was to come [in reverse, the former destructive, the Latter saving].15 But God’s free gift is not at all to be compared to the trespass [His grace is out of all proportion to the fall of man]. For if many died through one man’s falling away (his lapse, his offense), much more profusely did God’s grace and the free gift [that comes] through the undeserved favor of the one Man Jesus Christ abound and overflow to and for [the benefit of] many.16 Nor is the free gift at all to be compared to the effect of that one [man’s] sin. For the sentence [following the trespass] of one [man] brought condemnation, whereas the free gift [following] many transgressions brings justification (an act of righteousness).17 For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).18 Well then, as one man’s trespass [one man’s false step and falling away led] to condemnation for all men, so one Man’s act of righteousness [leads] to acquittal and right standing with God and life for all men.19 For just as by one man’s disobedience (failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness) the many were constituted sinners, so by one Man’s obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him).20 But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and super abounded,21 So that, [just] as sin has reigned in death, [so] grace (His unearned and undeserved favor) might reign also through righteousness (right standing with God) which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) our Lord.(See Rom 5:12-21 Amp),

6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father [of Eternity], Prince of Peace.7 Of the increase of His government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from the [latter] time forth, even forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. (Is 9:6-7 Amp).
15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her Offspring; He will bruise and tread your head underfoot, and you will lie in wait and bruise His heel. (Gen 3:15 Amp).
