Remember the Lord_ _ _

Let's Praise the Lord
Seek the Lord

12 Remember [earnestly] also your Creator [that you are not your own, but His property now] in the days of your youth, before the evil days come or the years draw near when you will say [of physical pleasures], I have no enjoyment in them—

Before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars are darkened [sight is impaired], and the clouds [of depression] return after the rain [of tears];

In the day when the keepers of the house [the hands and the arms] tremble, and the strong men [the feet and the knees] bow themselves, and the grinders [the molar teeth] cease because they are few, and those who look out of the windows [the eyes] are darkened;

When the doors [the lips] are shut in the streets and the sound of the grinding [of the teeth] is low, and one rises up at the voice of a bird and the crowing of a cock, and all the daughters of music [the voice and the ear] are brought low;

Also when [the old] are afraid of danger from that which is high, and fears are in the way, and the almond tree [their white hair] blooms, and the grasshopper [a little thing] is a burden, and desire and appetite fail, because man goes to his everlasting home and the mourners go about the streets or marketplaces.

[Remember your Creator earnestly now] before the silver cord [of life] is snapped apart, or the golden bowl is broken, or the pitcher is broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern [and the whole circulatory system of the blood ceases to function];

Then shall the dust [out of which God made man’s body] return to the earth as it was, and the spirit shall return to God Who gave it.(Eccl 12:1-7 Amp)

Early shall I seek Him
Seek The Lord

Seek the Lord

Lord; I wish to Praise & give You Thanks; for First Loving us. Even before we were born, You already Loved us, and knew of us. I also desire to give You thanks, for Your divine intervention, Supernatural provision.

Lord You tell us, to remind You of Your Promises (see 1 Cor 1:19-21). You remind us to come and reason with You. Although our sins  (which are many) are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If we be willing and obedient, we would eat the good of the land (see Is 1:16-20).

Lord, You remind us; when we place our trust in and do good; dwell in the land; feed on Your Faithfulness;  delight ourselves in You, You shall give us the desires of our heart. When we seek Your Kingdom first, and Your Righteousness, then all these things shall, also be added unto us. When we commit  our way to You,  trusting  in You, You shall bring it to pass; cause our Righteousness to come forth as the Light, & Your justice as the noonday.  (see Ps 37:3-8).

When we seek You early we shall find You (see Ps 63:1).Therefore early shall I seek You, and early shall I find You. We are reminded to remember You, o Lord; in the days of our youth. For when we earnestly, urgently seek You and Your Face, You hear us. We seek to do Your Will. Lord, come build Your Church. Unless You build Your House, we labour in vain. Start with us first. Let more of You be seen in our lives.

It is of vital importance for us, whom are serving the Lord;  to daily, diligently, urgently seek the Lord.  We are to diligently seek His Face! It is written Christ is the Vine, and we are the branches. The Father is the Gardener. He prunes us, so we are able to bear much fruit, that our fruit would remain. As in the natural, the gardener prepares the soil, prunes their trees, so the Father does the same to us.  The heart of man is likened to soil, The Word of God the Seed.

Father prepares our hearts, through the Power of His Holy Spirit and His Word, which is sown in the hearts of man. The Word takes root in our hearts, when we allow the Lord, to prepare our heart. The Sower sowing the seed of His Word within us, ie  the fertile ground of our hearts.  Daily we need to remember our Lord, in whatever we do. We need to first seek His Kingdom and His Righteousness, then He shall add all the other things to us (Mt 6:33).

I Am the Truth
I Am the Way

The preacher knew of this, that is why he encourages us to seek our Creator, during the days of our youth. Yet not just in the days of our youth only, but throughout our lifetime in this world.  We are to remember Him, even  before  we are gray  and white  haired. Thus even before we reach a ripe old age , we need to remember the Lord. Daily we need to seek the Lord’s Face, seek His Presence, before we leave this life.

It is He Who gives us Life, and Life in abundance. He is: –

  • The only Door!
  • The only Way
  • The only Truth
  • The only Mediator between God and man!

He clearly states  “I Am the Way; the Truth; the Life; No one can come to the Father except through Me. Through Him are we able to have life, and life in abundance. He alone has the words of life. We need to realize He is the Messiah. He is God in flesh. Who ever has seen Him has seen the Father.

Jesus says in (Jn 15:1-4): – “I Am the True Vine, and My Father  is the Vinedresser. Every branch in Me  that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit  of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

He also says  that Abraham looked forward to His day,  rejoiced therein and was glad. Most assuredly  He tells us before Abraham was: He is.

Jesus: – “Your father Abraham  rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”

The Jewish, religious leaders and Pharisees: –“You are not yet fifty years old, and have seen Abraham?”

Jesus answers: – “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” (See Jn 8:52-59 NKJ).

We’re reminded (in Jn15:5-11) Jesus speaking: –  “I Am  the Vine you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me , and My Words abide in you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this is My Father Glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you would be My disciples. As the Father Loved Me, I also have Loved; abide in My Love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My Love, just as I have kept My Fathers commandments and abide in His Love. These things have I spoken to you, that My Joy may remain in you, and  that  your joy may be full.”

We're the branches
He’s the Vine

Let’s think about this for a  moment. Should we be the owner of this vineyard, or of a fruit orchard; we would as the vine dresser, the gardener, prepare the soil. (I spoke of this before, when first starting Fertiileground and my blog: –

Once the soil of the orchard and vineyard, has been prepared, we tend to the need of either the vines or trees. Sometime we shall prune them,  to produce much fruit. We give them the necessary nourishment needed, for them to become sturdy and strong.  Then the branches and vines would be able to produce an abundance of fruit. For their fruit to remain.

Both the vines and the trees need regular attention, for them to remain healthy,  producing abundant, healthy fruit. When pruning these branches it almost seems they may show a tear or two. Pruning often is not pleasant, for both the  gardener and the vineyard. Even a fruit tree orchard, needs this treatment. As they need to produce healthy growth, which shall maintain healthy fruit.

Even younger trees and vines after they’ve been planted, need regular maintenance. Otherwise the gardener,  owner, vine dresser,  or farmer,  waste precious, time and/or labour. Should he not tend to or care for them, he’ll lose his initial investment.

There is a definite price which the Father paid for us through His Son. It cost our Lord His Life, He paid for us through His Blood. Through His death, Resurrection and Ascension, Christ paid for us, so we would have life. Daily we are reminded to seek the Lord. Seek His Face, He shall answer, rewarding us accordingly. He did so because He first Loved us. We did not love Him, Yet He Loved us first.  He chose us, not we Him. Once more we see He chose us, so we would produce fruit, and the fruit would remain.

We were drawn to Him because of the greatness of His Love. His Goodness draws us to repentance. David instructed Solomon, to urgently seek the Lord while He may be found: –

David to Solomon: – “as for you my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him,  He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever. Consider now, , for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary; be strong, and do it.” (1Chron 28:9-10.).

Therefore we need to heed God’s instructions also: –

  • Know the God of our father
  • Know God
  • have a personal knowledge
  • A personal relationship
  • Be acquainted with God
  • Have an understanding heart
  • Cherish God
  • Serve Him with a blameless heart
  • Have a willing mind
  • The Lord, first sought us
  • First seek the Lord
  • Seek first His Kingdom
  • Inquire from God, for His leading & direction
  • Require Him to cleanse our heart, through His Blood
  • Require Him out of necessity.
  • Diligently seek Him
  • Urgently seek His Face

To be contd
