Just one Thought

We shall overcome
more than conquerors thru Christ

Just One Thought

In the multitude of my [anxious] thoughts within me, Your comforts cheer and delight my soul! (Ps 94:19 Amp). the Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are vain (empty and futile— only a breath). Blessed (happy,  fortunate to be envied) is the man whom You discipline and instruct, O Lord and teach out of Your Law. (Ps 94:11-12 Amp). How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them. If I could count them, they would be more in number than the sand. When I awoke, [could I count to the end] I would still be with You. (Ps 139:17-18 Amp) Search me [thoroughly]. O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts!  And see if there is any wicked or hurtful way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. (Ps 139:23-24 Amp).

10 And Jesus called the people to Him and said to them, Listen and grasp and comprehend this:
11 It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that makes him unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man unclean and defiles [him]. (Mt 15:10-11 Amp). (http://youversion.com).

16And he said, Are you also still without understanding? 17 Do you not see that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the stomach and is expelled?  18 But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false witness, slander. 20 These are what defile a person. But to eat with unwashed hands does not defile anyone.”(Mt 15:16-17 ESV).

17 Do you not see and understand that whatever goes into the mouth passes into the abdomen and so passes on into the place where discharges are deposited?18 But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles [him].19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts (reasonings and disputings and designs) such as murder, adultery, sexual vice, theft, false witnessing, slander, and irreverent speech.20 These are what make a man unclean and defile [him]; but eating with unwashed hands does not make him unclean or defile [him]. (Mt 15:16-20 Amp).

Don't Quit art printLord we ask Your Godly Wisdom & Understanding, as we discuss this matter, concerning our thoughts & our related actions. For Lord You know, our ev’ry thought, imagination & actions. We take ev’ry thought captive, in obedience to Christ Jesus our Lord. Lord, we ask You to renew our thoughts, with Your Word. Your Word is a light to my feet and a lamp for my path. You also are the Way, the Truth, the Life! Lord You have the words of Life.

One Thought

A while back I handled this topic of our thoughts. The other day at work; (Yes! I do; also; work, at a private, timber & board Company, to provide for my family thru God’s Grace); one of my colleagues and I; spoke about our  thoughts. What we think ,the most about would probably manifest in our lives. The Word; reminds us, to do whatever our hand finds to do, do it with all our might, for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom  in Sheol (place of the dead) where you are going. (Eccl 9:10 Amp). Are we aware, that one thought, just one thought; which we make and think about shall either  lead us to positive or negative actions. During the diverse situations and experiences, which we  face, in our lifetime, could inadvertently affect us.  This is why it stands written, we are to take ev’ry thought captive, bringing them  to obedience, in Christ Jesus, our Lord. While discussing this matter, we realized the power of mans thought life. We  realized that a single thought, would eventually lead, to action, whether good or bad. When thinking about this, I had been reminded of one of my dad’s heroes,  Thomas Edison, who discovered and invented the  globe (The Edison Screw, the Edison Lamp). He tried umpteen times, to invent the globe. He thought about, how he would be able to make life easier. Our modern civilisation, has much to thank the Lord for, in people such as Thomas Edison, Leonardo da Vinci, Walt Disney,  Henry Ford, Michael Angelo and Albert Einstein; to name a few. Ev’ry one of them, had a dream, a vision, leading them to make life easier. The common denominator, being their dreams, thoughts, vision and imagination. These lead them to be forerunners in their diverse, industries, interests and investigation.

Don’t give up _ _ _

Winners never quit
_ _ _Thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. (2Cor 2:14 NKJ).

It has been said: – “Quitters ne’er win & winners ne’er quit!”  As these knowledgeable intelligent people, were raised up for these seasons. They were laughed at, criticised, sued yes maybe e’en discouraged. Having their theory, they pursued their dreams. Eventually they fulfilled them and became  recognised and accepted by all. They made history.  Had they not pursued their dreams; we would once more, be found in the dark. (By the way History is also; ” His Story!”). How often have we thought over a matter, believing that when receiving an opportunity, we could use it to improve our lifestyle? Or even how would we use this idea, to make life easier for, our fellow man? Jesus had often acted as His Father instructed Him to act. He had ne’er been caught unawares, He had always been aware of what the people were thinking about. No one knows the heart of man, better than the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth.  Our Lord knows every one of our thoughts, e’en afore, we think about them. He knows ev’ry action, we would do! Should we; then,  allow our thoughts & meditation, to run amok? I should think, not so fast. For our biggest battles we face, are found in our thought life. That which we hear, see and allow to come into our mind, may produce the words to come from our mouth.  These words<which we allow to come from our mouths: may lead us to act &  react either negatively or positively in any given situation. Our thoughts determine our eventual out come. One thought whether negative or positive, in line with the Word of God, can either destroy or build up a whole nation and her peoples. It is written in the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.  Through thinking over the Scriptures, we grow to understand, that nothing came into existence without the Word of God.

In Him is Life

He holds ev’rything in place through the Power and Authority of His Word. In the beginning  He created the heavens and the earth.  Then God said let there be light and there was light. He calls those things that were not as though they were.  In fact He said; “Light Be! ” And light came to pass. John’s testimony in the beginning of His Gospel is recorded as follows: – In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ) , and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God. All things were made and came into existence through Him. and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and it is unreceptive to it!]! (Jn 1:1-5 Amp).
