Possess the Land
Father, Abba, Father; we come before You, Just as we are; asking Your Wisdom and Understanding. Open our eyes and ears; so we may hear, see which You are saying, showing us. We Your Body, the Church need You to help us stand; take possession of Your Promised Land. Cause us to be firmly rooted, grounded in Your Word. We ask these things in, the Mighty Name of Christ Jesus, our Lord; Master; and Saviour.
We never cease giving You thanks, knowing only; You have the Words of Life! Even now You cause us to have Your Wisdom, Understanding. Open our spiritual eyes, to see those things; You have stored up for Your elect. You deserve all Dominion, Glory, Honour and Power! Now and for Evermore! Amen! Amen!! Amen!!!
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying; ‘Prepare provisions for within three days you will cross this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.'” (Josh 10-11 NKJ)
It is not often for a blogger like myself; his own forward. There is always a first. This is certainly a first for myself. Well here goes. For some time I have been meditating, reading and thinking about God’s mandate given to Israel and Joshua, who took charge of Israel, after Moses’ passing. I believe God has given each one of us a specific mandate for our lives, here on earth. The number one mandate, given us by God, is that which has come to be known as the Great Commision. This is God’s instruction given us to share, testify, of God’s Goodness, in the land of the living. To be able to reach the lost sinner, with God’s Kingdom, Good News.
Good News, is not something we regularly hear. Most of the time we read or hear about, man’s falling into sin. Bad news indeed! This hadn’t started with Joshua and Israel’s history. It goes further back to, the time of man’s innocence. When God originally created Adam and Eve. Actually it may go back even further.
We shall try covering some of these “High Lights” in due course. Through God’s Grace, Wisdom; we understand God created all things, through the Power of His Spoken Word. For He spoke, calling those things which be not as though they were. Yes even the non existent things, that which we are not able to see with our physical eye, or understand in the natural. Yes there is a natural world, even a spiritual world, which we do not see or understand, with mere human intellect and natural eyes.
But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who Love Him.” (1Cor 2:9 NKJ).
For since the beginning of the world Men have heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him. (Is 64:4 NKJ).
For behold I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create; For behold, I create Jerusalem as a rejoicing, And her people a joy. I will rejoice in Jerusalem, And joy in My people; the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying. ( See Is 65:17-25 NKJ)
