Dry Bones contd
Don’t Lose Hope
All the house of Israel lost hope: – They say, ‘our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; we are cut off.”(Ezek 37:11b NIV).
Hear their hopeless cries, o Lord. As Israel lost hope in times past, so have we at times lost hope? Lord we thank You for giving us a reason to hope. You give hope to the hopeless. You fight for us! You paid the highest price for all of those, becoming sin for us, dying on the cross. Lord You made a show openly of defeating the enemy on the cross. Thank You Jesus! Amen!
But Zion [Jerusalem, her people as seen in captivity] said, the Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me. [And the Lord answered] Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, they may forget, yet I will not forget you. Behold, I have indelibly imprinted (tattooed a picture of) you on the palm of each of My Hands; [O Zion] your walls are continually before Me. Your children and your builders make haste; your destroyers and those who laid you waste go forth from you. (See Is 49:14-17 Amp)
Although at times like Israel we might say our Lord has forsaken us. Christ knew what it is to be forsaken, by God. On the cross He cried my God, My God why have You forsaken Me. At that stage; Christ Jesus became sin for us. We know God and sin cannot mix. God is Holy; He hates sin; Sin cannot stand in God’s Presence. Yet Christ had been prepared to become our sacrifice. Because of sin Christ paid the price. Through Christ Jesus we are restored, delivered, forgiven when we call on Him. Therefore we need to call for true, real, repentance. Give us back the Old Time Religion! Ezekiel prophesies: – “Thus says the Lord God: ‘Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. _ _ _’ ” (Ezek 37:11-12 NKJ). Although Israel was despondent the Lord never forgot her, the Bride of Christ may also be effected, though despondent; the Bridegroom comes for her. Before her marriage the bride prepares herself, to meet her groom. She may at times feel is it the right decision, when she thinks of their courting days, she remembers the times they spent together. She longs to be with her Groom, for the rest of her life. Before the ceremony, she faces many challenges, questions, tests and trials. Before their courting days, when still unmarried, she may feel discouraged. Then she remembers her fiancee’s promises, and she pushes through, till the day of their consummation. The Lord is calling us, His Bride; to come up here. He makes her His queen. The Lord is presently calling, wooing us back to Him. He says; for us to arise, stand up, take our place, next to Him. Arise Bride of Christ! Arise Church of God. Arise all believers, followers of Christ! The Lord is restoring us back to our original place of authority. He is restoring Zion’s Authority. He is speaking to the dry bones, of Israel and Zion. He is calling us back to Life. The whole army of God, He is saying, calling out loudly and clearly: – ARISE!!! ARISE CHURCH ARISE!!!
