Peace be unto you, our Lord is Gracious & merciful. Greetings in the Name of our Lord & SAVIOUR; JESUS CHRIST.
Agreed, Israel still is in need of their Saviour. They also are born in sin. For all have sinned and fall short, of God’s Glory. Paul wrote of his concern for his people Israel. His prayer for the Jews, still rings clearly today. Where his prayer is for all Israel to be saved.
Remember, our Lord Jesus, who is God in flesh, was born into a Jewish family, at Bethlehem Ephratah. The Lord’s concern for Israel still remains today.
Remember the woman at the well, (see Jn 4:19-26), had a similar query. Our Lord answered the following:-
“Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father. You worship what you do not know, we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The woman said to Him, “I know Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.” Jesus said to her, “I who speak to you am He.” (Jn 4:21-26 NKJ).
In this scripture we see our Lord speak concerning these matters. There are other scriptures in the Bible, which answer these questions.
In one place it is written; there is neither Jew nor Greek. Neither slave nor free. Neither male nor female, we are all one in Christ. This doesn’t say all are saved.
Instead it points to the fact, despite differences, we through, our knowing the Lord we shall be saved. Our Lord made each one different, yet we can be one in Christ.
Yes Israel rejected the Messiah, when He walked the earth. She is still paying the price for rejecting Him, this is true.
Yet our Lord chose His twelve disciples, out from the Jews, including Saul of Tarsus, whom the Lord met with, on his way to Damascus, seeking to arrest Believers.
Remember when he met with the Lord, his name, had later been changed, to the apostle Paul. The Lord called him to go to the gentiles. The Lord, through the hands of Paul performed mighty signs and wonders.
Paul was born a Jew, of the least of the tribes of Israel; the tribe of Benjamin. He was a. Pharisee of the Pharisees. Yet he wrote two thirds of our New Testament.
True when a Jew rejects Jesus, even as we reject Jesus, we also cannot be saved. It is through believing, accepting Jesus Christ; as personal Lord and Saviour, that both Jew and Gentile shall, can be saved.
This gives us all the more reason to pray for the Jewish nation and for the peace of Jerusalem (see Ps 122:6).
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, Prosperity within your palaces.” For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, “Peace be within you.” Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good. (Ps 122:6-9 NKJ).
I’d like to suggest; read the whole of Ps 122.
We see in Scripture; Messiah shall reign from Jerusalem. Christ had been tried, crucified, condemned to death on the cross in Jerusalem. He also cried, with a heavy heart over Jerusalem.
He also had a burden for His people, Israel. Israel had been promised, to Abraham’s seed, Israel or the Jews. Remember Christ was born into the tribe of Judah, from which the sceptre shall not part. We’re reminded; whatever we do for/to the least of His brothers, we do unto Jesus.
So let us rather pray for Israel, the Jews, for their Salvation & Deliverance;although they are chosen. Remember we’re also chosen, for no man can be saved, except through, acceptance of Jesus Christ; in our hearts.
*For whoever shall call on the Name of the Lord, shall be saved(Rom10:13)
*the Scripture says; “whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame(Rom10:11)
*that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved(Rom10:9)
*for with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation(Rom10:10)
*and so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My Covenant with them, when I take away their sins.”(Rom 11:25-32)
I trust this shall clear up some misconceptions, there may have been; concerning, Israel and the Jews. There is much to say. Rather let’s keep on praying for Israel, the Jews, their salvation and their deliverance.
Yes they are lost sinners, in need of repentance, deliverance, healing and their Salvation. Christ died for all men everywhere, giving them a chance of salvation. His Goodness, Love, Grace and Mercy, bring people to repentance and salvation.
